Lazdininkai Windmill

The history of Lazdininkai wind mill will enchant even those who have heard a lot of stories. Before its movement to Lazdininkai village, it stood in Padvariai and even earlier in our capital Vilnius! The wooden eight-edge mill was delivered to Lazdininkai on the initiative of a pharmasist of Darbėnai town. The mill was purchased and sold several times till finally it came to a local farmer who purchased it for the money earned in coal mines in America. Today it is called the presidential mill because it belongs to the father of the President of Lithunia Gitanas Nausėda.
