Monument for Bishop M. Valančius

In 1995, an oak tree was planted in front of Bishop M. Valančius’s homestead to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth. The oak tree also features a monument to Bishop M. Valančius, which was consecrated in 2001. The monument was created by sculptor Kęstutis Balčiūnas and architect Edmundas Giedrimas, and its installation was initiated by Stasys Vaičius.
