Monument

Monument for commemoration of the guerillas of Nerimantas detachment of the "Sword" company of the Samogitian district Alfonsas Knistautas, Stasys Lisauskas, Vytautas Gricius, Vytautas Sermontis, Pranas Budrys and the guerilla of Buganta detachment Vytautas Daugintis who were killed on 7 February 1949 in Žibininkai Village, Joskaudai forest, Darbėnai forest district, quarter 644. It was opened on 1 October 1995 by virtue of the chairman of Palanga Unit of the Lithuanian Union of Political Prisoners and Deportees Petras Gabrėnas (author: sculptor Julius Vertulis). A dugout of Narimantas detachment was on the hill behind the monument called Vilimas Hill which was restored in 2009 by virtue of P. Gabrėnas.
