Orvydas Homestead-Museum

Stone master, Franciscan, herald of freedom Vilius Orvidas left this world too early. However, he left an indelible mark, i.e. oasis of freedom, beuty and chaos, search for God created by his own hands. Those who have visited Orvidas homestead say that they have not seen anything like that before. Others say that it is a museum of chaos and nonsense which does not leave indifferent. Be that as it may, V. Orvidas brought the things which looked unnecessary to others, i.e. one century old cut oaks, stones emerged during reclamation works, thrown away household utensils to the lands of his parents year after year. He arranged those things together with his own works of stone and wood. All this has grown to a homestead which, from a bird's eye, reminds of the eye of God. One can walk around the homestead for hours and find multiple meanings, i.e. meaning of life, religion, philosophy.
