Martynaičiai Hillfort

Martynaičiai hillfort called "Pilalė", "Castle Hill" (Pilies kalnas) is located in the cape of high altitude which intervenes in the confluence of Minija and Pilė. The hillfort is vegetated with decidous forest, external banks have nearly been destroyed by ploughs. There is a settlement at the foot to the south of the hillfort. Traces of the cultural layer are found in the land which has been ploughed since ancient times: coal, crumbs of ceramics, pieces of clay plaster etc.
