Memorial chapel

Memorial chapel for commemoration of the victims of Bolshevism during the period of 1946–1953, Kartena cemetery, Kretingos g. 32. Built in 1990. (author of the project: Petras Lukauskas). The remains of the guerillas, their liaison officers and supporters of Kartena (Bugantas) detachment of the "Sword" company of the Samogitian district who were killed during the period of 1948–1951 were removed from the year of the former NKVD–MVD–MGB Kartena volost unit and buried in it on 2 June 1990.
