Old Cemetery of Pesčiai (Klecininkai)

The village cemetery was located in the pastures of Pesčiai village and was in use from the 16th century until the end of the 18th century. During 1946–1947, the guerrillas Bronius Jurčius, Bernardas Paulius, Petras Paulius, Jonas Salys, and Juozas Sodys, who were killed near Salantai, were secretly buried here. In 1997, a monument was built to commemorate them on the initiative of the Kretinga Unit of the Lithuanian Nationalist Union, designed by engineer Vytautas Valiukonis.
