Old Cemetery of Pesčiai (Klecininkai)

Cemetery of the village operated in the pastures of Pesčiai village which were in this place from the 16th century to the end of the 18th century. During the period of 1946–1947, the guerillas Bronius Jurčius, Bernardas Paulius and Petras Paulius, Jonas Salys and Juozas Sodys who were killed near Salantai were secretly buried here. In 1997, a monument was built for their commemoration was built on the initiative of Kretinga Unit of the Lithuanian Nationalist Union (designed by the engineer Vytautas Valiukonis).
