Sauseriai Hillfort

Sauseriai hillfort also known as Pilalė, Urbašius pilalė, was set up in the upland cape at the valley of the confluence of the river Minija and nameless rivulet. It is 2.7 km to the south-east from the confluence of the rivers Minija and Salantas. A fore and a settlement are in the north-east from the hillfort. The hillfort was set up in the 1st millenium, abandoned in the beginning of the 2nd millenium, probably when fights with crusaders started.
